Why Brosh Riding Apparel? : Go Back to Previous Page

I don’t know about the rest of you but I cook in the summer time. Wearing protective gear in the summer is really a bear but I will not ride without it.

In June of 2002 I came across a company from Israel named Brosh that was marketing lightweight protective riding gear. I ordered a Cool K (“K” as in Kevlar) coat with body armor. What I got really amazed me. The lightweight coat has zipper vents that go from your inner wrist about 8” up your arm to let airflow in. There is a large mesh area under each arm and a zipper vent across the back in your shoulder blade region.

I was really impressed by the two primary features: Kevlar and Body Armor. The coat contains Kevlar in the shoulders and forearms, which are the most likely contact areas in the event of a fall. Behind these Kevlar areas is the most advanced body armor for motorcyclists in the world. The armor is called T-Pro and is made by Davies Odell in England. In addition to the elbow and shoulder armor, I also ordered the spine protector.

The coat is comfortable in temperatures as low as 60F (with its vents closed) and up to over 100F. As soon as the temps get over 70F, open the vents and you’re all set! If you perspire a lot like I do, the coat gets damp in traffic but then dries as soon as you get moving again. Remarkable! But it gets better. Brosh now makes a coat called the Ultra Cool K which has a lining made from Dupont Cool Max.

Cool Max was designed by Dupont to wick moisture away from your body and it really works! As far as we can tell no other motorcycle coat manufacturer in the world uses Cool Max in their coat. As a matter of fact, we can’t find any other coat manufacturers that use Kevlar or T-Pro armor in their coats either! Kevlar protects the rider in a slide and T-Pro armor takes the shock of the impact and Brosh has lots of examples of it working.

Check our site for the Brosh crew wearing gear that has been through a crash and also for stories from satisfied customers who have crashed in their gear and were protected from serious injury because they were wearing it.

Brosh has expanded their line to include rain-suits, overshoes, waterproof gloves and other riding accessories all built to their high quality standard and now available to you from cbxman.com!
