I put the CBXMan Alternator Conversion setup on my '82 for the C2C2C rally in July/August 2005. I put 8,000 miles on it, with absolutely zero, zip, zilch, nada, rain problems. I had 13+ volts at any RPM over 1,800, and it ran through the 105 degree heat of Missouri & Kansas without a hitch. I would heartily recommend this to anyone who appreciates the peace of mind that this affords when getting on a lonely highway with entry signs that say: "Next Services 109 Miles".!!

Dennis, I confirm that I have received the tail cowl. Fantastic! You can use me as a reference any time! I have a brand new NOS tank and fender in candy glory red and the match is perfect!
Again, thank you very much for a perfect product and fast shipment (well packed!). Now I can put my brand new (NOS) red tail cowl (with lid) out on Ebay as I do not need this any more... It is for the 1980 CBX and I wanted to restore my 1979 to absolute original state.

CBX Man,
Received the coiuls
and installed them on my 1982
KZ 1300. Man what a difference.
I struggled for 15 years with
this bike, off and on, trying
to make it run better. Finally
I found out via the internet
that I needed a stronger, hotter
spark and the Accel coils were
suggested. If ever a bike needed
stronger, more powerful coils
it's the KZ1300. Now, it starts
instantly where it used to take
forever while playing with the
choke and then only hitting on "some" of
the cylinders. Now it runs like
a new bike should. Almost no
choking needed in warm weather
and it runs all day without missing
a beat. I'm impressed with the
Accel coils and I was impressed
with your service.
I just wish my KZ would magically
turn into that white 1982 Honda
CBX with bags and fairing. A
beautiful bike for sure.
Thanks
again, Robert
OK, got it figured out....the
big brown wire from the alternator
goes to the red/white wire on
the harness and the smaller black
wire goes to the black wire on
the harness--the black wire is
the field voltage supply to the
alternator to magnetize the field
for charging.The red/white wire
in my harness was removed and
a new piece of 12 ga.wire was
installed in a 2-pin GM weatherproof
plug along with the existing
black wire.I soldered the connections
on each pin for a safety margin
and also installed the same mating
2-pin plug on the new alternator
harness in the same fashion,then
soldered a new blade type fuseholder
w/30 amp fuse into the harness, eliminating
2 of the red plugs on the harness
that always get melted.The plain
red wire from the harness(ignition
key hot source)was also soldered
in with the fuseholder and alternator
12 ga. wires,creating a totally
bulletproof connection and greatly
reducing voltage drop at the
ignition switch.It charges bitchen
and the gauge read 11 volts when
I turned the key on instead of
10 volts as it had read before, and
it goes right up to 13+ volts
when you rev it up off idle!
Thanx for your help,Dennis,this
is a good product!Keep up the
good work back there and it's
good to know we all have a good
parts source!

Dennis:
Thanks for having Stefan
reply to my problem! It was
just a simple
wiring change. The two wires
in the new alternator plug
were just in the
wrong slots! They should be
on the top end of the plug
when it is to be
connected to the factory plug
unit! It only fits one way
as your instruction
suggest! Your installation
instructions, along with this
Great change to our
OLE' Ladys, is SUPER! Add my
name to any endorsement, to
this product!
Thanks for your quick response,
to my small problem!

Dennis,
Just a note to let you know that the alternator kit I purchased from you
has been officially Death Valley-proven.......a 100 mph blast across Panamint
Valley
Rd.and a good run into Death Valley and the return ride too, well,it never
missed a beat!Jeff Ellmore's unit performed admirably as well.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Dennis,
Just a short note to let you know I received the order today, and everything
was in it, just as represented. Except for the fairing. It is much nicer than
you said, and far nicer than I could have expected. Thank you for the extra time
it took to make it a quality item! You may use my name as a satisfied customer
or to represent your products. I am totally satisfied.

Dennis, I sent a note with some pictures of me wearing the helmet, on the CBX,
but Outlook Express crashed as it was being sent, so I don't know for sure if
it got transmitted. If not, let me know, and I will send it again.
Over the weekend, I did a little bit of polishing. The tank is so beautiful,
but the lock bar for the cap, was not so beautiful. It detracted from the rest
of the tank. So, I spent a couple of hours polishing it. Just thought you might
like to see what it looks like when it's shiny.
Hi Donna -- my Cool K Sport was waiting at home yesterday. I got busy and
installed the armor, then went out for a ride. It's in the 90s here, and I
mean it's hot...but that jacket is great. I didn't even have to open the sleeve
vents, it cools and works fine. Even with the backplate in.
Thanks for your customer assistance.
Peter
