Get Your Hands on a Honda CBX!!

That’s right you!

If you’re here looking at this page then the odds are that you know what a CBX is, you read the reports when they came out back in the late 70”s and you always thought about getting one. Or maybe you’ve been to rallies or motorcycle shows and had a chance to look at a CBX and marvel at the technology that Honda employed back then. The features Honda employed in the CBX were years ahead of their time.

The CBX was a six cylinder double overhead cam engine with 24 valves. That technology didn’t get to be common in cars until the late 1980’s. Honda did it to make the performance smoother and they really accomplished their mission. Honda also moved things like the alternator and starter to positions behind the engine to make it surprisingly narrow for a six across configuration engine. Sure it seems a little wide to look at but that feeling goes away as soon as you get rolling. Speaking of getting rolling, the CBX is a great bike with a comfortable conventional seating position that you can ride all day. Whether you go for an early model (79 or 80) or the later model (81-82) with bags and windshield you still get the magical motor that will give you performance when you need it and long term durability and smoothness for years of trouble free riding.

Just because you don't live near us is no reason to not consider acquiring one of our bikes! We can help get the bike to you!

We deliver CBX's and other bikes in our own enclosed trailer within a 300 mile range from our office in Kingston, PA and can quote you rates when you tell us where you're from. A good estimate is that your cost will be $250 to $300 if you are 300 miles or less from us.

1982 CBX - $6999

1982 CBX - $6999

- 14,435 miles
- Excellent condition
- VIN #JH2 SC0609CC400026

A nice all original bike. We painted the tank and sealed it with POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer so you’ll never have to worry about the inside rusting out on you. We also painted the front fender the side covers and fairing lowers. All new decals made from modern material were applied and clear coated in place to keep the new paint looking good for a long time. What makes this bike special is a number of things.

First, it has the original exhaust on it and the system is in great shape. Used exhaust systems like this one are selling for $2500 and up on eBay these days if you can find one! It also has the optional clock and thermometer gauges which are very rare and hard to find.

The most unusual option though is the Honda Kenwood AM/FM Cassette player with speakers mounted in the fairing. These are rarely ever seen (first one we’ve ever seen!) We have changed the motor oil using Golden Spectro oil with a new filter. We installed a new air filter and the carbs have been rebuilt and synchronized, the timing checked and adjusted.

Now here’s the best part:

We have ridden this bike and can tell you that it runs great. It should because it has a Zero Mileage School Bike Motor in it! That’s right zero miles. The original engine in this bike turned out to have major problems and instead of rebuilding it we replaced it with a fresh motor.

For those of you unfamiliar with the term “School Bike” Honda donated CBX’s to technical schools back in 1981 which those schools used to train future mechanics. The engine has not been opened up internally and we have performed leak down and compression checks on it and it’s in brand new condition internally and looks great externally. There is no difference between a 1981 and a 1982 CBX motor so you’ll be way ahead of the curve with this bike!

We also rebuilt both brake master cylinders and all the calipers. We have installed a new Yuasa AGM Maintenance Free battery. The tires are Dunlops. The front is good and the rear is brand new. We have also installed a new chain and sprockets and our own CBXMAN Designs Cam Covers, Crank Covers and Master Cylinder Cover.

Flaws? The valve cover is showing some signs of corrosion and is a candidate for replacement with a chrome one. Otherwise, this is really a great and special bike.

As with all bikes sold by CBXMAN.com this great machine is ready to be ridden now and won’t need service until its next regular service interval. It comes with an owner’s manual and even a tool kit!

Don’t hesitate because you’ll miss a great bike if you do!

Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Spiegler Stainless Brake Lines are DOT approved for use on street motorcycles in the USA and TUV approved for use in Europe. Brand “R” and other suppliers brake lines are not DOT approved. They feature finer steel braiding! The stainless steel braided casing is more tightly wound than the other lines on the market and are made to aircraft specification. The inside of the Spiegler lines are made from PTFE-Teflon which eliminates expansion.

They also feature patented Adjustable Banjo Fittings. Typically, after market stainless steel braided brake lines do not offer adjustability of the banjo fittings and as a result they may twist and kink in undesirable directions when installed. Spiegler’s unique patented, adjustable banjo fitting allows for 360 degree rotation to eliminate line twisting. Each brake line kit comes with a special tool required for this adjustment. Now you can turn your cables to fit your bike and avoid chafing. All of the aluminized fittings are pressed into stainless steel. Finally a Lifetime Warranty!

Spiegler stainless steel brake lines have a lifetime warranty on the bike on which they are installed. Black Color! We have made a point of carrying black vinyl coated Spiegler stainless brake lines so that they will resemble the stock lines and maintain the stock appearance of your bike

1979 CBX - $6899

1979 CBX - $6899

- 11,422 miles
- Excellent condition
- VIN #CB1-2005767

A rare all original bike. We painted the tank, tail and front fender and we sealed the tank with POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer so you’ll never have to worry about the inside rusting out on you.

All new decals made from modern material were applied and clear coated in place to keep the new paint looking good for a long time. What makes this bike special is that it has the original exhaust on it and the system is in great shape. Used exhaust systems like this one are selling for $2500 and up on eBay these days if you can find one! It also has the original seat with its metal trim pieces in place. This is extremely rare and quite valuable because try as we might we have not been able to duplicate these trim pieces making this seat in this condition very valuable.

This bike also includes the tool kit (which is usually missing) and the original owners’ manual.

We have changed the motor oil using Golden Spectro oil with a new filter. We installed a new air filter and the carbs have been rebuilt and synchronized, the timing checked and adjusted. We have ridden this bike and can tell you that it runs great. We rebuilt both brake master cylinders and all the calipers. The tires are Metzlers ME33 Laser up front and ME99A in the back and are in good shape

Flaws? One plastic side cover has had its post repaired but it’s fine now. The cam covers could use some polishing. This is really a great and special bike.

As with all bikes sold by CBXMAN.com this great machine is ready to be ridden now and won’t need service until its next regular service interval. It comes with an owner’s manual and even a tool kit!
