We look forward to seeing everyone at one of our favorite spots to visit, Wellsboro, PA and to stay in one of our favorite motels, the Canyon Motel. After studying some of the other locations in our area we have decided to return to Wellsboro because the roads and attractions in this area are first rate and the traffic particularly during the week is very light. We have some interesting trips planned. Here's our tentative itinerary:

Thursday September 9 - Short ride today. We'll visit the PA Grand Canyon and other close by sights.

No special dinner plans yet. We may try this: http://www.tiogacentral.com/index.html

Friday September 10 - 2 Rides Planned: Long Ride-Leaves 9AM Sharp ...the Ride to Wine Country. We'll travel from Wellsboro to Hammondsport, NY and visit several wineries located in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Don't worry if you can't make it in for this trip Friday because if there is enough interest we'll do it again on Saturday! Short Ride - For those of you that can arrive by mid day Friday we'll travel that afternoon to the National Warplane Museum in Horseheads, NY. Visit www.warplane.org for more info.

Saturday September 11 - Same 2 rides as Friday so you can re-visit the same spots or go on the ride you didn't take the day before. Dinner both nights will be at the nearby Steakhouse Restaurant. A one minute stroll!

Sunday September 12 - We'll lead more rides if there are enough riders staying around. Otherwise we'll say our good byes and thank everyone for attending!

A reception for all of the participants will be held each evening in one of the suites at the Canyon. Details to be announced at the event.

Here is a write up from Tom & Judy Grady, the owners of the Canyon Motel:

The Canyon features 31 Rooms. Some of these rooms are suites and there is even a small cottage. Many of these rooms can handle additional people and the Canyon has a limited number of cots are available. We have rooms with one queen bed or two double beds in both smoking and nonsmoking. We have suites with two queen beds or three double beds. We have a two bedroom suite with a double bed in one bedroom and a double and single bed in the other bedroom. Each of these suites has a separate living room. We have a cottage with a king bed, Jacuzzi bathtub and fireplace. We have king suites with a king bed, sitting room area and large whirlpool with a separate shower. The suites, cottage and king suites are non-smoking rooms. All of our rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, hair dryer, direct dial telephone with free local calls and cable TV/VCR with an on site video library of over 300 movies from which you may borrow free of charge. We also have a heated, indoor pool with whirlpool, sauna and fitness center.

We are located in a quiet neighborhood, 1 1/2 blocks from Main Street. We are within walking distance to 16 eateries, ranging from Dunkin Donuts to fine dining, as well as a variety of shops and services. We are 10 miles from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, 3 miles from the scenic train ride - in the center of all area events and activities. We are located on the Route 6 bike trail and 12 miles west of the Route 15 bike trail.
Rates vary with style of room, time of year and number of occupants; however, they start at $60 plus tax per night for two adults. Peak rates apply in August, September and October and during select events. At that time, rooms start at $65 plus tax per night for two adults.

The Canyon also has a great indoor pool so don?t forget your bathing suit! For additional information or to make a reservation, please call 1-800-255-2718. Web Site is http://www.canyonmotel.com/

For your info East Avenue where the Canyon is located is actually Route 6 so if you are coming from the east just turn into the Canyon before you get to Main Street.

Trailers are not permitted in the Canyon parking lot but are to be parked in the Canyon's parking lot annex.

Rally Registration will be at the Registration Desk in the Canyon Motel Lobby. $5.00 per person registration fee to help cover insurance costs.

Reservations must be made by July 23, 2004. The motel will not hold rooms for us after that date so reserve early. You can always cancel.
