- The Saga of Room 305

ICOA East Coast National
Rally
On the evening of Friday
June 20, 2003 a tech session
was scheduled in the rear
of the Marlinton Motor inn.
At the other end of the parking
lot a dynamometer session
was in progress while in
the middle the CBXMAN.com
crew was hosting a wine and
cheese party for the ladies.
Being an unusually cool
night for June, the ladies
began to look for ways to
warm up a bit. Room 305 was
adjacent to the wine party
and was vacant at that point
so someone came up with the
idea of using the heat from
the room to warm things up
a bit outside. The ladies
enlisted the aid of some
talented gentlemen from the
CBX club who were kind enough
to find a way to open the
door to Room 305.
The rest as they say is
history! The heater was turned
on full blast and the bedspread
was used to take the chill
out of the evening. Some
other club members noticed
that the unoccupied room
was open and used the opportunity
to make some phone calls
home and to catch up on those
overseas calls they had been
meaning to return.
All in all things were proceeding
along nicely when a new attendee
named Ed Holm arrived and
said hello to everyone and
wondered why the door to
his room, Room 305, was open
and someone was in there
using the phone.
Naturally, answers to his
questions and explanations
were in short supply that
night. The members, instead
of offering explanations,
offered Ed some beverages
and a hearty welcome to the
rally and all was well with
the world again.

A feeble attempt to gain
access to 305.

A more serious attempt
to gain entry.

Help is enlisted.

Leave it to the Expert.

The key would've helped.

The bed cover came in
handy on a cold night
in Marlington.

Does Dennis know about
this?
