when you won’t be riding
your bike for more than 4
weeks. We have been using
it since the early 1990’s
and have never had to rebuild

3. Alternator Conversion
Convert your alternator
from stock to the German
Alternator Conversion. The
alternator on the CBX is
truly the most troublesome
part of the bike and the
one thing that no matter
how well you take care it
can still knock you down
out on the road. You can
replace brushes, bearings,
clutch plates and stators
until you’re blue in
the face but somewhere, sometime
one of these things is still
going to fail and the CBX
will not run without a battery.
There are over 180 of the
German Alternator conversions
running now around the world
some for over four years
with zero failures. This
product gets the strongest
CBXMAN recommendation and
endorsement!
4. Batteries and Chargers
Let’s face it the
old lead acid batteries have
a terrible track record in
the CBX. They typically last
1-21/2 to 2 years maybe and
have a rich history of dying
with no notice. We have changed
over completely to the new
style AGM (Absorbed Glass
Mat) type battery in our
CBX’s. We chose Yuasa
because the Yuasa AGM battery
for the CBX features the
most cold cranking amps (CCA)
of all the maintenance free
batteries and is the lowest
priced.
This battery is the
absolute state of the are
in maintenance free battery
technology and best of all
again, it’s the lowest
priced! We expect these batteries
to last many, many years
in our bikes because we believe
in the technology and also
because we keep our bikes
plugged into Battery Tender
Juniors when we aren’t
riding. We stock both Yuasa
AGM Batteries and Battery
Tender Juniors and offer
them at competitive prices.
5. Carbonne Lorraine Brake
Pads
Out of all the pads on the
market today we have found
these to be the longest lasting,
lowest priced and most effective
aftermarket pad available.
The only pads that are almost
as good are stock Honda pads
which we will be happy to
order for you but they’re
a lot more money!
6. K & N Air
Filters
We always replace the stock
air cleaner with a K & N
filter on any bike we are
going to keep. K & N
Filters are easy to clean
and re-oil and make more
horsepower. We also feel
that they, in combination
with Accel Coils and wires
contribute to easier starting. Click

7. Pingel Fuel Petcocks
They flow three times more
fuel than stock and look

8. Progressive Suspensions
We have been using Progressive
fork springs on lots of different
bikes including the CBX and
recommend them. We have also
used the Progressive Magnum
Shocks on our early model
CBX’s with good results.

lbs. go for the Heavy Duty

9. XL-1 Motorcycle

10. Accel Coils and
Wires
We offer these because as
the old original coils continue
to age they begin to fail.
Accel coils produce a much
fatter spark so your CBX
starts and runs better. Our
kit includes Accel Coils,
Wires and all the related
items you’ll need.
Don’t forget to re-gap
your plugs to .035 to take
advantage of the hotter spark
