This is setup we have used for years and think it’s the best way to go for all around riding. If you have a 79 CBX with the original chain still on do yourself a favor and get rid of it and go to this setup!

For those who want to experiment:

Rev Changes in 5th Gear with 18T Front Sprocket
Rear Sprocket 36T= 8% Increase
40T= 5% Reduction
42T= None
44T= 5% Increase
46T= 10% Increase
